Hello,

My name is Nicky Grace and this is my first blog which is a new adventure that I’m learning as I go along (with some help !).

I started collecting and making things with vintage fabric in about 1996. I made pictures and bunting and since I didn’t know how to use a sewing machine I did it all by hand. I went on to make cushions, patchwork quilts, lavender bags and more.

I’ve sold my work to independent shops in London and elsewhere and Cath Kidston has been a client since 2005.

I now have an Etsy Shop and every few months I have a Weekend Open House Sale where the public can come and have a browse and it’s a really lovely fun event. Author and Stylist Selina Lake came to my sales in May and July to do book signings of “Homespun Style”, her latest and most beautiful new book. My next sale will be on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th October 2012 from 10am till 6pm both days. Children and small friendly dogs are welcome and can play in the garden. There is always cake, biscuits and/or chocolates for your delectation.

I don’t have any plans for my blog other than to post pictures of my work, things I love and a bits of normal life that take my fancy. It’ll be a little journey and I don’t know where it’s headed….
