My kitchen table at the Pop up Shop

I took this photo at my Pop up Shop in July. It was hard to ‘style’ it nicely because there is so much and because the lavender hearts are in cellophane bags and they slip and slide all over the place so I just plonked it attractively on the table and hoped for the best. There is a selection of all of these at my on line shop

Here is one of a few new vintage fabric pin cushions that I’ve made this week.A lot of the fabric was hand printed in America in the forties and the colours and prints are just astonishingly beautiful. I’ve sewn my pink ‘Lots of Love’ labels on them all.

Pin cushion heart
vintage heart fabric shaped pin cushion with a bit of pink & white polka dot and some orange cotton. I’ve sewn my ‘Lots of Love’ label on the front and some lavender coloured bobbles down the side. It’s nice to have something pretty to look at whilst doing a bit of sewing.

Sweet peas, lavender, coreopsis. Every year I sow my sweet peas in June which is a bit late so they’re never that plentiful. Next year I must remember to do it in May so they get more time to grow. Some of the colours are so amazing, the brightest most vivid pink I’ve ever seen.

Put to good use at last
Bucket & bread bin
These have been knocking around in my garden for years. This year I decided to drill some holes in the bottom and plant mixed flower seeds in them. Now they have a purpose and I’m so pleased with them. The bucket is a vintage Dutch potato bucket.
